The 2012 Haas School of Business Women in Leadership Conference is dedicated
to those that have gone above and beyond to help women succeed. We want to promote
the idea of becoming more than just a role model and to celebrate those who provide the
environment, opportunities, and both personal and professional support to women in their
industry. Professional success is not solely dependent on an individual’s personal performance,
but also on the team surrounding them and the leaders who support them. Therefore, we recognize
that the lack of women champions is detrimental to achieving our goals. We hope that our
conference generates an awareness of this issue and inspires our attendees to go beyond mentorship
as we develop our next generation of women leaders.
