The 10th Annual Women in Leadership Conference, sponsored by FedEx, will focus on striking a balance between women’s career options and lifestyle choices. The day will include keynote speakers, panels, workshops, a networking luncheon, and a wine reception. From panel discussions focusing on industry-specific issues to interactive workshops, participants will be inspired and challenged to find their perfect balance. Through networking opportunities and professional development workshops, the event promotes the wide variety of career options, professional networks and lifestyle choices available to women today. A cocktail reception will follow the conference, providing participants with the opportunity to meet with panelists, attendees and recruiters from organizations committed to women and diversity.
The annual Women in Leadership Conference is the longest running student-organized conference at the Haas School of Business, attracting current students, alumni and professionals from the greater Bay Area and around the world. This year’s keynote speakers include Sharon L. McCollam, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., and Deborah Blackwell, Executive Vice President and General Manager of SOAPnet. Previous keynote speakers have included Sheryl O’Loughlin, CEO of Clif Bar Inc.; Barbara Desoer, MBA ’77, Global Technology, Service and Fulfillment Executive for Bank of America; Jenny Ming, President of Old Navy; Linda Dillman, Executive Vice President and CIO of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.; and Anita Roddick, Founder and CEO of The Body Shop.
