Keynote Address I:

Patricia WoertzPatricia Woertz
Executive Vice President
ChevronTexaco Corp

Patricia A. Woertz is an executive vice president of ChevronTexaco Corp. She is responsible for directing the company's worldwide refining, marketing and transportation businesses. Previously, Woertz served as president of Chevron Products Co., Chevron's U.S. refining and fuels marketing company and as a vice president of Chevron Corp., a position she was elected to in 1998.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Woertz graduated in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University, and joined Ernst & Young in Pittsburgh as a certified public accountant. In October 1994, Woertz graduated from Columbia University's International Executive Development Program.

In 1977, she joined Gulf Oil Corp. in Pittsburgh, and held positions in refining and marketing, strategic planning and finance. In 1981, she transferred to Houston to head a U.S. upstream audit group. From 1985 to 1987 during the merger of Gulf and Chevron, she worked on asset divestitures as part of the debt reduction process. In 1989, she became finance manager with Chevron Information Technology Co. In 1991, she was named Chevron Corp.'s strategic planning manager, responsible for evaluating strategies for both the company's planning committee and its management committee, both of which she served as secretary.

In 1992, she was a member of one of five corporate "breakthrough" project teams, and led the team in developing the strategic planning process used by the corporation. Woertz was named president of Chevron Canada Ltd. (CCL) in Oct. 1993. Headquartered in Vancouver, B.C., CCL is a refining and marketing company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Chevron Corp.

She was named president of Chevron International Oil Co. and a vice president of logistics and trading for Chevron Products Co. in January 1996. In this dual position, she was responsible for supply and distribution and worldwide trading.

She assumed her current position upon the formation of ChevronTexaco Corp., Oct. 9, 2001.

Woertz serves on the board of directors of the American Petroleum Institute and the California Chamber of Commerce.

Keynote Address II:

Ginger GrahamGinger Graham
Advisor to the President
Guidant Corporation

Ginger L. Graham is Advisor to the President of Guidant Corporation. As such, she devotes much of her time to speaking out about women's health issues. Ms. Graham recently addressed many of the country's most prominent women business leaders regarding women's health at Fortune Magazine's Most Powerful Women in Business Summit. Her business activities are focused on strategic issues for Guidant including the development of business collaborations, and talent recruitment and development.

Prior to assuming this role, Ms. Graham served as Group Chairman, Office of the President. In that role she oversaw all marketing and sales operations in Guidant's four geographic regions—the United States; Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Japan and Asia Pacific—as well as emerging markets.

From 1993 to 1999, Ms. Graham was President and CEO of Advanced Cardiovascular Systems (ACS), which became Guidant's Vascular Intervention Business Unit with the founding of Guidant in 1994. Under her leadership, Guidant became the world's leading provider of coronary stents and angioplasty systems.

Ms. Graham began her career in Eli Lilly and Company's agricultural division. Her career includes management responsibilities in, Elanco Products, an agriculture company, Eli Lilly's pharmaceutical division and Elizabeth Arden Cosmetics.

A native of Springdale, Arkansas, Ms. Graham received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas and her MBA from Harvard University.

Graham serves on the board of directors of Amylin Pharmaceuticals and Millennium Pharmaceuticals. She serves on the board of the California Healthcare Institute, the Silicon Valley chapter of the American Heart Association and Harvard Business School Health Industry Alumni Association Advisory Board. She is a member of the Committee of 200, an organization of preeminent women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. Ms. Graham frequently speaks at Business Schools and has written for Harvard Business Review.
